WESTLAKE, OH – Carnegie Management and Development Corporation, parent company of Fedcar Company, LLC, today announced that Fedcar has been awarded a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to build the Fayetteville Health Care Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

“This contract further strengthens our relationship with the VA and, more importantly, provides a state-of-the-art facility for veterans to receive much deserved health care in a beautiful, serene setting that befits their service to our country,” said Dr. Rustom Khouri, President and CEO of Carnegie.

“Our approach is to set a new standard for quality design and construction with a team comprised of experts local to North Carolina with extensive knowledge of the Fayetteville area and possessing vast medical facility design and building experience,” Dale Bradford, Lead Project Development Director of Carnegie explained. “Together this team has built over 56 medical facilities exceeding 9,000,000 square feet.” This project will create more than 1,000 jobs including design, construction and property management with the majority of these jobs employing people who live and work in the Fayetteville area.

“To ensure sustainability, the project is slated to achieve LEED-HC Silver Certification,” Jenny Oakley, Carnegie’s Chief Construction Compliance Officer, elaborated on the sustainability and features of the project. Carnegie will create an encompassing healthful environment with upgrades throughout the facility and grounds including an expanded site, well-defined areas of respite and walking trails, structured outdoor exercise features, a Veterans Memorial and Waterway Pavilion.
