Feb. 12, 2016: The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded the Springfield, MO Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) to Carnegie Management and Development Corporation.

“We are proud to be awarded this contract,” said Dr. Rustom R. Khouri, President and CEO of Carnegie Management and Development Corporation. “It is our honor to build facilities that serve those who served this country.”

The Carnegie team includes Carnegie Management Development Corporation, Westlake Reed Leskosky Architects, and DeWitt and Associates as general contractor. “Our team has vast experience building and designing VA facilities nationwide,” stated Dr. Khouri. He added, “We are looking forward to partnering with DeWitt and Associates. DeWitt is from Springfield, has a stellar portfolio and will ensure jobs are created in Springfield to strengthen the local economy.”

“The current location has served the VA well for over two decades, however, a move to a larger facility is crucial for us to provide excellent care to an increasing population of Veterans in the southwest Missouri area,” said Bryan Matthews, Director, Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks.

The new facility will be built at 1800 W. Republic Road in Springfield, MO near the intersection of Republic Road and Kansas Expressway. This facility is expected to bring Primary Care, Mental Health, and Specialty Care Services to over 9,800 veterans. Dr. Khouri stated, “We believe in providing more for veterans. The Springfield, Missouri CBOC will include additional features and numerous amenities that create a holistic and healing environment.”
