Joseph W. Kearney, CPM is presently the Vice President of Property Management. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Joe attended Dyke College where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, May 1979. He obtained his Certified Property Manager (“CPM”) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in November 2004. Joe joined Carnegie Management and Development Corporation in 1999 after spending 19 years with First Union Real Estate Investments, a Cleveland, Ohio based real estate investment trust. During his nineteen years at First Union, Joe held a variety of positions including Budget Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, and Assistant Vice President of Property Management. Joe’s experience includes the hands on management of several million square feet of commercial real estate throughout the country. His responsibilities have included the ongoing repair and maintenance of the properties, tenant relations, capital expenditure analysis, personnel supervision, and contract negotiations. He has also provided due diligence for property acquisitions including site visits, personnel interviews, and deferred maintenance analysis. Joe is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the National Association of Realtors. He is currently president of the Northern Ohio chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management. |
