Charleston, South Carolina VA Outpatient Health Annex Groundbreaking

May 3rd marked the ceremonial groundbreaking for the 102,000 square foot Veterans Affairs Outpatient Health Center being developed by Carnegie Management in Charleston, South Carolina. The clinic, when completed, will focus primarily on dental and primary care but will also provide mental health, blood collection and radiology services to the rapidly growing veteran population in the Charleston metropolitan area. After scheduled opening in late 2020, the clinic expects to handle more than 20,000 patient visits annually.

Among the guests present for the ceremony was Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Honorable Robert Wilkie, U.S. Congressman Joe Cunningham from South Carolina’s 1st District and Scott Isaacks, Director and CEO of the Ralph H. Johnson Medical Center in Charleston.
